mobileFX Frameworks and Game Engines
J2ME-
Java Micro Edition
The games produced by mobileFX Arcadea rely on Sun's Java
Micro Edition (J2ME) and the technological profile MIDP / CLDC. Those
technologies are common for most Mobile phones, whereas a complete list of all
compatible devices can be found at Sun's web site
http://developers.sun.com/techtopics/mobility/device/device.
Prior to mobileFX Arcadea installation you must have
installed the Sun Java SDK 1.4.2.05 or later and the Sun Wireless
Toolkit 2.3 which contains the implementation classes for MIDP and CLDC
along with a vast array of Mobile Device Emulators.
Our development team has chosen J2ME - MIDP
and we have been committed on implementing our product according to their
specifications. That gives us the advantage of having produced a product that
can deliver Games capable of running to any Mobile Phone compatible with those
technologies. Furthermore, mobileFX powered games are not bound to device
characteristics such as screen colors, screen resolution and keypad layouts.
mobileFX
System Architecture
We have encapsulated reusable code and domain
specific source code and features into Framework Packages. Each
Framework Package, when referenced by a game project, automatically
enables certain features; for example there are frameworks for sending
SMS messages, interconnecting mobileFX Applications using Bluetooth and
many more.
Certain Framework Packages classify the entire
wireless application - those frameworks are called Engine Packages.
Such Engines are the mobileFX 2D Game Engine, Trivia Game Engine, Puzzle
Game Engine, Lucky 7 Game Engine, Soccer Game Engine,
mobileFX ODP Browser Client
Engine and many more.
